Workmates were kind but shifts were frequently changed midweek and put up late, so we had to remind management to allow us time off. Make sure you’re prepared for any kind of confrontations between supervisors and customers who are thieving or nasty, as local police are often on hand. Would frequently be late for work. Regular customers are always pleasant to deal with.

2. A great place to work and a great place to live.

In my time at Poundland, I had a lot of fun. It was fun to meet new people while serving customers and working the till, and even though it was only a temporary position for the holiday season, I would gladly return part time if positions become available.
